Education programme coordinator

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a diploma or degree, with computer literacy, but persons with a matric or a certificate and experience will be considered

  • Financial and/or administrative experience is a must

  • Have knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Experience with management of information systems would be an advantage

  • Work well with others and have an extraordinary dedication to customer service

  • Be VERY well-organised and detail-orientated.

  • Be flexible and have the ability to interact with staff and clients at all levels (sometimes under pressure), while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient.

  • Have experience of training and/or working with the Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) systems

  • Take responsibility for all projects she/he oversees

  • Have a hunger for learning and growing

 

The role of the administrator is to provide administrative support to staff, projects and events.

Duties include:

  • Preparing budgets, quotes, draft proposals and filling in bid forms

  • Administration support for Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) systems

  • Overseeing projects funded by Setas and other big projects

  • Overseeing exchange programmes

  • Capturing information into the college’s management information system

  • Providing narrative and financial reporting at the end of projects

  • Some events management, together with other team members

  • Acting as a personal assistant to the academic and research head, including diary management, communication and travel arrangements on an ad hoc basis
