Capture stories from your project with this form of impact evaluation
Humans are story tellers; our brains are primed for listening and we best understand and retain facts when they are part of stories. Story-based evaluation is based on our predilection for narratives.
Story-based evaluation is a form of project or programme evaluation that seeks to extract the stories related to your project. It works to document the stories of success in projects and programmes the greatest impact or most significant change is extracted and documented. These stories are ready for release to let people know exactly how your work has made people’s lives better.
It uses a combination of methodologies to identify the most significant change as the result of a project and extracts and tells the stories of success that resulted from the project.
While its best that all M&E systems are developed beforehand, story-based evaluation can be conducted without planning for the evaluation.
